We had been in operation for 20 years when the owner of the farmstand property, Jim Hopping, informed us that the property would have to be sold . We knew that this would eventually happen and hoped to be in a position to buy it. Unfortunately, by that time, the property had accrued in value to such an extent that it was unrealistic for us to buy it on our own, so we reached out to the Peconic Land Trust for help.
We owe our livelyhood to our customers, and we hope to continue earning your patronage by growing and selling the best produce we possibly can.
We thank the Peconic Land Trust for their help and land preservation efforts. Please read about them in the articles linked below and consider giving your support [here]…– Newsday, “Peconic Land Trust Farmland Sale Touted as Preservation Win”
